I have alot of questions
by MrsBee inmy husband is a d'fed jw and i think he is gonna try and make his way back there .
they dont believe in fate?
(long story short, we were high school sweethearts, didnt see each other since xmas 1993 even though we lived in the same city then he ran into my mother xmas 2003, while i lived in charlotte and he was here in maryland, i moved back to maryland 3 weeks later and we were married 7 months after that- i believe in fate, i dont think its far fetched to believe that god has a plan for everyone).

Welcome, MrsBee.
"Why do they think that people who get excited in church, raise their hands up, sing loud and are happy are not genuine, he always says that they are showing off"
Imagine, if you will, that you believe that you - and you alone - are granted God's love. How do you reconcile this with the obvious enthusiasm demonstrated by others who claim the same thing, especially when you yourself don't feel so moved?
It's the lie I told myself for years, too. -

More news: WatchTower take legal action against site that quotes their Quot
by Elsewhere inhttp://www.profindsearch.com/news/2005/09/21/pfs1203.htm .
watchtower take legal action against site that quotes their quotes!.
the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania have initiated legal proceedings against [quotes], who has been displaying "quotes" from the jehovahs witnesses publication on his website.

Their case is pretty much dead in the water. Their argument against the fair use defense describes an example of fair use. The most "embarrassing" material, IMO, is stuff that is no longer under copyright anyway.
I expect the EULA to be found to be non-binding, since it relies on a legal definition of "Jehovah's Witness" that doesn't contradict their own policy of handing out the material under the EULA to all and sundry.
The trademark is the only thing with any real merit, and they are suing the wrong person. Strike three, you're out! -

Tell us the name of the magazine so we can order copies, thereby expanding its distribution. :D As an aside, be careful of putting anything on a public board, since that is usually considered publishing it by the industry.

Disfellowshipped for being fat and not watching my cholesterol
by free2beme ini find the concept of taking select warnings of the medical and science world, to disfellowship members, and ignoring others ... all the more interesting as i think about it.
after all, heart desease is the biggest killer in the americas.
heart desease and heart related deaths are often linked to and not exclusive to; obesity, high cholesterol, fatty foods, not exercising, high stress, etc.. with this in mind, i dare someone to call an elder and report that they saw one of the local witnesses eating at mcdonalds, even though the doctor warned them it could kill them.

I think you meant "asbestos".

Emerson (That's Me) Urges Forming House Bible Groups To Replace Watchtower
by J Mason Emerson ingreetings to all readers of good will,
i'm mason emerson (nicknamed "joe") and as a yahoo.com group i put the following on some websites there to encourage interested readers (exjws or others) to go ahead and form independent nonwatchtower groups for bible fellowship which can meet in homes instead of in kingdom halls.
i see myself as a catalyst for action by others, not a founder of groups or a sole leader of them, especially given my current health.

KH meeting - boring!
by jstalin ini'm not a jw but a friend of mine who is a jw invited me to the memorial service at the kh this year.
i was raised catholic but now i'm agnostic/atheist.
one thing that struck me was how horribly sterile and boring the memorial service was.

Want some excitement at a memorial? Partake of the emblems. :D
